A free after-school music program for qualifying applicants that:

  • promotes personal growth through music
  • uses the classical music ensemble experience to achieve positive social change for youth-at-risk

Service Details

Hours Classes are 1.5 hours long and are offered once per week Mon-Thu 4 pm-6 pm, for 35 weeks
Areas Served Christian Island ; Midland ; Penetanguishene ; Springwater ; Tay ; Tiny
Eligibility 8-13 years
Application
  • Program will, at its discretion, accept up to 40 students from grades three to eight in any academic year.
  • Applications will be reviewed by the Music Teacher and Board of Directors Parent/Student/Teacher Liaison and approved on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • When all places are filled, a Waiting List will be created.
  • Applications from the Waiting List will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis as openings become available.
  • Any children actively participating in the program will be automatically considered for enrollment in the following year.
