Description

Description (Service) Promotes and monitors long-term supportive friendships for children through quality relationships with caring adults.
  • The Traditional Match Program matches a Little Brother or Little Sister, a child between the ages of 6 and 16, primarily from a single-parent family with a Big Brother or Big Sister
  • Couples for Kids matches children with an adult couple, both 20 years or older, that have been together for over one year.
  • In-School Mentoring Program matches a child between the ages of 6 and 12 with an adult mentor, eeting once a week for one hour during school hours with the purpose of raising the mentees self-confidence and self-esteem.
  • College Placement In-School Mentoring Program is similar to the In-School Mentoring Program; however, the mentors are college students and will visit more than one mentee throughout the week.
  • The Summer Program is open to both matched and unmatched children. It consists of special events, activities and outings.
