Georgian College announced in 2025 that the Orillia Campus will close in summer 2026, with programs transitioning to the Barrie Campus starting in May 2026.

The Indigenous Resource Centres provide students with a culturally supportive and comfortable environment where they can study, socialize and access a wide range of resources.

Staff support students academically, personally and spiritually.
The resource centres are home to the:

  • Visiting Elder program
  • Niwijiagan peer mentor program
  • Indigenous Student Advisor

Some benefits provided through the resource centres include:

  • feasts
  • potlucks
  • cultural teachings
  • craft nights
  • study and lounge areas
  • computers
